Governor Walker Appoints Beverly Gill and Julie Glancey to Elections Commission

Governor Scott Walker announced the appointments of Beverly Gill and Julie Glancey to the newly created Elections Commission today. Gill is the Wisconsin Legislature majority party nominee, and Glancey is the Wisconsin Legislature minority party nominee.

Beverly Gill currently works as an election inspector for the Town of Burlington. She is well-versed in the different election methods during her nearly 25 years of experience. As a clerk for the City of Burlington, Gill experienced the transition from hand counting ballots to using a punch card system and finally transitioning to an automatic tabulating machine.

Julie Glancey, currently retired, served Sheboygan County in various roles from 1980 until 2013. She previously worked as the Sheboygan County Clerk from 1995 until 2013 administering elections. Glancey also served as the President of the Wisconsin County Clerks Association from 2005-2006. Glancey was also honored as the recipient of the 2012 Wisconsin Counties Association's "Friend in County Government" Award.

The Elections Commission also includes Don Millis, Ann Jacobs, Steve King, and Mark Thomsen.
